I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.PFA Baseball Player Dress and Look Policies* I agree to the PFA Baseball Player Dress and Look Policies.The following rules are in place to protect the integrity of the PFA Baseball Program as well as increase player opportunities while in front of college recruiters, professional scouts and other professional and college personnel. Proper PFA Uniform and Look includes: • PFA dri-fit • White long pants (any brand is fine for now) • Black Belt • Black Socks • Jersey tucked in with belt showing • Ears out of cap, no ears tucked • Black Sleeves • Glasses will be worn on the back of cap. No glasses on top front of cap. Players should either wear their glasses or leave them in the dugout • No jewelry during, before, after competition (ex. ear rings, exposed necklaces) Religious necklaces can be worn; however, they should be taped inside the jersey • Arrive at the field in full uniform and athletic shoes (no flip flops, sandals, vans) • Players will exit their car in full PFA uniform to play and return to their car in full PFA uniform. No changing in dugouts or around fields • Every player must be clean shaven for team events, including games, workouts, practices, travel, showcases, etc. • No facial hair whatsoever • No shaggy hair. Nothing below the ear. Hair should not touch the shoulders • Caps will not be worn backwards or indoors (unless at PFA facility) • No straight cap bills PFA Baseball Parent Policies* I agree to the PFA Baseball Parent Policies .The following rules are in place to protect the integrity of the PFA Baseball Program as well as the growth and development of our players: • Refrain from entering into the dugout or on the field before, during, or after games and practices • Make sure to provide water/sports drinks before a game or practice begins • Maintain good communication with your team coach about events, games, and practices. • Please let your team coach know you will be running late or will not be able to make an event/practice. We understand that there are acceptable reasons for not always being on time or able to make events • Please conduct yourself with class during games and practices • Please do not communicate with PFA players during practice or while a game is in play. This includes all on-field practices and indoor workouts/classes and batting practices • Please refrain from "coaching from the stands" • Negative remarks directed towards players, umpires, coaches, or other parents will not be tolerated • There will be no alcohol consumption during games, tournaments, or events, including all gameplay/practices at Big League Dreams Parks • If you need to speak with your team coach and/or PFA Staff Member, please get his attention off the field and out of the dugout. The team coach and/or PFA Staff Member will have the discretion to schedule a meeting within 24 hours of the request • Please understand and accept that mistakes will be made by players, umpires, and coaches • PFA Baseball is a Developmental Program. Players will get their work in on the field, and playing time will be handled fairly. However, the following issues will not be discussed with team coaches or PFA Staff Members: 1. Playing Time 2. Team Lineup 3. Team Strategy 4. Any other player than your son • Positive support of the PFA Baseball Program ultimately helps players long term and is vital to player development and the chain of communication • Parents will be held accountable, just as the players are, for being on time for practices, games, and other events. • All monthly dues must be current or arrangements made before player(s) are allowed to take the field for a game or tournament • All game and tournament fees should be paid in advance on Teamsnap or arrangements made, if not, player will not be allowed to play • All game and tournament fees are nonrefundable • Keep in mind that no program is perfect. Our players, team coaches, and PFA Staff Members take pride in how they take the field and carry themselves. Please contact Ron La Chase If a problem arises that you feel is not being addressed by your team coach PFA Baseball Hotel and Travel Policies I agree to the PFA Baseball Hotel and Travel Policies.The following rules are in place to protect the integrity of the PFA Baseball Program as well as the growth and development of our players: PFA Hotel/Travel Policy • PFA Travel/Hotel Policies pertain to players traveling to events and during your stay at travel events. • Be on time to team meetings/affairs • No caps indoors or worn backwards • Shoes worn at all times • All players must be clean shaven • Professional behavior and 10:00pm curfews maintained unless directed otherwise • No swimming unless all games have been played and no games the next day • Proper travel and hotel attire while at events. Proper attire consists of casual dress shorts (Any style), slacks, jeans, collared shirt (button down or polo), and shoes (no sandals). • We will exemplify professionalism as a program on and off the field • No cursing in public • No girls, alcohol, or drugs (tobacco and vape included) allowed. This is a zero-tolerance policy and players will be excused from the event immediately. Players may be sent home at your parents' expense if travel/hotel rules are not followed per the discretion of the team coach and/or PFA Staff Member PFA Baseball Coaches Policies* I agree to the PFA Baseball Coaches Policies.PFA Coaching Philosophy • Internal and team communication is the key to success for the PFA organization and PFA Teams • Be a good, positive, role model and teacher for all players; as well as the coaching staff • Recognize that each player is unique in their development, understanding, and talent • To promote and demonstrate the understanding of respect for the game, teammates, opposing players, coaches, and umpires • Teach each player the proper mental approach for each situation • Play to our team strengths and improve on our weaknesses while embracing each practice and game with maximum effort, enjoyment, and purpose PFA Baseball Program Goals • To develop players and coach’s knowledge while gaining understanding of the game • To develop both physical and mental baseball skills to ensure every player reaches their potential • Prepare our players for the challenges for the “next level.” This includes preparing them for situations on and off the field and in the classroom • To develop respect towards others by practicing good sportsmanship at all times • Promote the idea that playing baseball is a privilege and not a right.
